I don't know if they're considered metal or not, but I think As I Lay Dying, Zao, and Demon Hunter are the best Christian metal out there...especially As I Lay Dying.

Till you cut through my tether and changed everything
From the sky you looked small, but I loved you the same
So I darted back quickly to spell out your name
And when they say that I'm just a terrible kite
You'll tell them you're proud of my marvelous flight

You can't even begin to have this discussion without mentioning Norma Jean.

The new Underoath album has to put them to them right behind them in the discussion also.

Omg, I can't believe I forgot about Norma Jean. I also forgot that Underoath's new album is a lot heavier than their other stuff. Do you have the new CD? I was tempted to buy it yesterday at Hot Topic but I just got three CDs last week so I think I might just wait awhile, even though I'm rather anxious to own it.

I got 'define the great line' the day it came out...after listening to 3 of the songs on their myspace before the release I had my mind set on it :] Its a pretty rad CD.

Their older stuff is a lot heavier than that last 2 CDs they released.
